How to Control Tinnitus

Monday, August 31st, 2009

I wanted to share with you how you can gain control over tinnitus. If you don’t know what the word means, it actually refers to the phenomenon of somebody hearing ringing sounds that are not caused by outside sources.

Fundamentally you’re hearing ringing which does not actually exist. It is one of those sounds which is persistent and it never stops, and it has been the most frustrating and annoying condition to live with. There’s no relief from the condition, even when you are trying to sleep.

I shall demonstrate how to control tinnitus so that your life will not be affected by this ailment. Although the doctors have some theories as to the cause of tinnitus, it is most likely due to an exposure to a loud environment.

War veterans often suffer from this condition due to the extreme level of noise they experience. The medical community offers surgery as the cure. Finally, the surgery that is performed is not entirely safe.

One morning you make wake up and hear rining or just might wake up hearing nothing at all. Alternatively, ignoring tinnitus can lead to control over it. The truth is our brain is wired to do these things. Currently there are millions of sensations that stimulate all of the senses you have.

Your brain filters what you’re going to smell, taste, see, hear, and feel because your conscious mind can’t be bothered with all of them. There is a therapy which can teach you how to unconsciously ignore the sound of the ring.

A basic exercise will make it work. Concentrate on reading the newspaper and you will discover that you no longer hear any ringing. Keep doing that, and soon you will be unconsciously ignoring the tinnitus.

Tinnitus is a hearing disorder common among teenagers. Caused by an unhealthy lifestyle, food and repetitive exposure to loud music often found in nightclubs.

The information provided is for research purposes only. No medical advice is implied. As with any condition it is best to consult a doctor before taking any medical advice.

Find Cheap International Long Distance Rates

Monday, August 31st, 2009

There are many ways to find cheap international long distance service. One of the best is to use a VoIP product. With VoIP you can make very cheap international calls.

VoIP is a digital phone service that uses your broadband internet connection to place calls to anywhere in the world, for less than if you just picked up the phone and placed the call through your long distance provider. I’m sure you’ve heard of Vonage, and possibly Phone Power, for example. They are two of the most well known VoIP companies around the world.

With Phone Power you can get a calling plan that is only $9.95 per month for the first three months. After that it costs just $19.95 per month. VoIP phone service is great because it has such low international long distance rates.

For example, the best rates you can find to call Ireland using traditional long distance is around 3.9¢ per minute. But, with Phone Power you can call long distance to Ireland for 1.2¢ per minute. That is a savings of 70%. Another great example is calling long distance to Spain. With traditional long distance service it will cost you about 3.9¢ per minute with some providers. With Phone Power VoIP you pay just 1.1¢ per minute to call long distance to Spain. That is a 72% discount!

It is easy to see why this technology has grown in popularity so rapidly. With these kinds of savings consumers are literally tripping over each other to sign up for VoIP service.

If you are interested in music, why not try listening to some guitar songs for beginners? Music from a good guitar player can be very inspiring. A good place to start would be to learn some acoustic guitar songs for beginners that contain just a few chords. Try not to play Eric Clapton songs first; try to aim for something simpler, just to get the feel and rhythm of playing the guitar.

Here is a list of a few good artists with very good music that is easy to play. These are a must-try for beginners who want to be able to play a good song right away.

Easy Guitar Song 1:
Knocking On Heaven’s Door was written by Bob Dylan and was more recently popularized by non other than Guns N’ Roses. Most standard chord structure is G, D, Am just cycled over and over again. In some versions the Am is followed every other time with a C. It’s not only an easy song to play on the guitar, it’s one of my all time favorites.

Common Headaches: Tension and Ice Pick Headaches

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Headaches are one of the most common medical complaints that doctors hear about. There are many different types of headaches and many different types of treatments for these headaches. Some of the more common types of headaches are tention headaches and icepick headaches. Tension headaches are usually caused by stress and the tensing of the muscles in the base of the skull and the neck. Ice pick headaches are severe headaches that feel like an ice pick is being stuck in the sufferer’s head.

A Tention Headache is something that is very familiar to us, especially if we live busy lives and tend to stress out over the day-to-day activities that we need to go through. Having a buildup of tension like this often results in a headache and this is something that you should be concerned about. Don’t simply treat the symptom by taking a pain medication although this is a preferable thing to do if you already have the headache. Get to the root of the problem and learn how to deal with the anxieties of life and you will be in a better position to overcome it permanently.

They don’t come more like usual headaches it is a matter of fact, they may go away as quickly as they came. That doesn’t mean, however, that those of us that suffer from IcePick Headaches suffer any less than those that suffer from any other type of headache. As a matter of fact, this type of head pain often ends in a migraine headache, one of the worst and most painful types of headaches that there is. If you have these types of headaches on a regular basis, you should make sure to speak your doctor about them promptly.

*Note that this article does not intend to give any medical advice and is informational only. For medical advice about headaches, please consult your doctor or medical professional.

How to Choose the Best Dry Skin Care products

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Let’s face it, not everybody can endure having dry skin forever and that is the reason why they look for dry skin care products that would best remedy their dry skin problems. Though usually these products that are available in the market are not enough to relieve it goes back the next day and the day after. So how would you know that a product can be very much effective for dry skin?

Dry skin care products available in the market today functions only as moisturizers but doesn’t exactly help in the renewal of skin cells to make the cure permanent. Moisture is not enough, what is needed is for the skin to produce proteins that would make it retain its younger look and healthy glow.

What Proteins Are Essential?

Proteins like collagen and elastin is are essential for curing certain disorders in the skin. The loss of these proteins may lead to further damage which leads to premature skin aging and other skin disorders. The main function that dry skin care products should perform is to rebuild these proteins to help the skin in the renewal process.

Other Elements To Take Note Of

Aside from the regrowth of proteins, dry skin care products should also be able to provide protection to the skin from any harmful elements in the environment. So how can a product establish all this? What would be their stepping stone?

The products should be able to contain ingredients that are essential in the regrowth of collagen and elastin and be able to protect the skin from harmful enzymes and free radicals as well. You may take note of these three key ingredients for instance, Cynergy TK which stimulates the regrowth of the two proteins mentioned, Phytessence wakame which protects the skin from harmful enzymes like hyaluronidase and last but not the least antioxidants like Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10 that is a form of CoEnzyme Q10.

To care for your dry skin is not as complicated as you think, all you need is to look for the right product that can address your skin concern and give it the right nourishment at the same time.
